Quizzes - Why Are They Great for Local Communities?

Wednesday, January 30, 2013
In this I want to share some quiz tips and advice that will allow you to understand not just how to compile quizzes but also what they actually can do.
  1. Getting communities together. Not just about asking a couple of Trivia quiz questions it is much bigger. Quizzes bring people together and in turn creates positive relationships. Pubs or clubs really benefit from a good quiz night. Warning bad quizzes move people apart.
  2. Making profit. From the amount you charge per player, money going behind a bar but more importantly the potential money being passed around the local area with the contacts that are built. Quizzes allow people to speak before, during and after it and as people are curious about each other and quizzes are often good ice breakers. Many quiz teams have a name relating to what they do or just fun names that people like to gets others talking. A quiz might naturally become a place where business is discussed and whats more in a less formal environment with less hang ups
  3. Increase confidence. Not just the quiz master but a team player will over time increase in confidence as they get more social skills. They can even build up commanding skills as they try to get their trivia answer across. Quizzes don't seem the most likely place, but when you think of the environment and the nature of them, they are a very social situation. A couple of drinks will make people relax a place where people are at ease with each other. This combination really makes it a place to bring out some from their shell. Not all quiz goers who are shy are going to get confidence but some will.
  4. Help small local charities out. More often with the bigger charities almost model the aggressive nature of sales people on every corner, exit entrance or where ever the smaller charities become less likely to receive money. Quizzes arranged to make money for such worthy causes are brilliant and also shows some very special people that go that extra mile in a discreetly unassuming way. Local communicates for most should really help each other out first and foremost to keep the spirit alive. The big charities are far better at making us all feel guilty by not giving so no need to worry so much about these.
  5. Fun times. Possibly the biggest and the one thing that helps all the above is everyone or as many as possible having a fun time. Quizzes are one of the more common places where the majority have fun and a laugh. Letting their hair down, ribbing the quiz master and each other. It really is amazing what some Trivia questions thrown into an environment that has drink, food and people can have. In communities make the quizzes as fun as possible as if they are too serious they lose their appeal to the majority with only harden quiz goers coming. That aside harden quiz goers are crucial for the fun as people grown about them winning again.
