2011 is here and boy does it have
promising titles in store for movie-lovers, a lot of which are highly
anticipated sequels and much awaited superhero flicks. Below, we’ve
compiled a list of ten of the most drooled-over movies of the year with
links to respective trailers (if available) at the end of each description.
Other notable movies scheduled for release this year are sequels X-Men: First Class, a second Sherlock Holmes and Fast Five (Fast and the Furious 5), the action/thriller flick Hanna and The Green Lantern.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Revenge of the Fallen might have been a
step down from the original sci-fi blockbuster, but it was still pretty
engaging and preserved the dynamic action sequences that are expected
from the franchise. The third installment in Michael Bay’s Transformers
series promises to bring all that (minus Megan Fox, to the dismay of all
male fans) this july. [Watch Trailer]

From the director of 300, Watchmen and
Dawn of the Dead comes another potential hit film packed with chicks,
guns, swords, dragons, crazy action sequences and visual excellence. The

The Green Hornet
Based on the superhero that first
appeared in the 1936 radio program and later in comics and a television

Not much is known about J. J. Abrams’ upcoming sci-fi thriller, but coming from the director of Cloverfield (2008) and Star Trek (2009),

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
The second half of the seventh and last
