Skimming: to meet the waves

Sunday, July 3, 2011
Skimming (skimbording) is sliding along the coastal retreating waves. At a time when the water after the collapse of the wave begins to recede, the rider throws a running board on the waste water, slips on her to meet the next wave, the crest of which makes a turn with the performance of tricks.
Often the photographs skimming confused with surfing, but these are two fundamentally different style of riding and the use of the wave. In the surf rider moves with the wave initially in skimming rider encounters a wave on the shore and first goes against it.
