Avoid stepping on these chewing gum splats

What is better than fun and colorful art? Artist Ben Wilson knows how to make it, and how to make people smile. He has simply come up with the idea to use regular chewing gum and turn i into a little art project. The thing is that he takes a random piece of gum and heats it up with a burner before he lacquers it so it can be ready to be painted with acrylic paint. All the gums are to be found on the streets of London, they all look like small colorful splats that you can’t step on or you’ll ruin everything.

Wilson has done this for the last six years, and one piece of gum can take him the whole day to finish. He usually signs his gum pieces with B.W. because there is no space for anything big, but sometimes he tries to squeeze in the sentence “the chewing gum man”. So if you’re visiting London sometime soon, watch out for these. If you’d like to see more street art you should check out the “Simpsons street art”.
