Friday, June 24, 2011

This post features a collection of pictures taken from a mass fight broke up in the Parliament building in Kiev, Ukraine.  Politicians were meant to be meeting to ratify a treaty with Russia about it being allowed to keep a navy presence int the Crimean peninsula until 2042. But heated discussion soon boiled over into violence as politicians against the deal started throwing eggs and tomatoes at opposition. A smoke bomb was then let off and fists started to fly as speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn hid under an umbrella.
